Dele Allis Penalty Canceled Out As Wolves Secure Third Straight Premier League Victory

Tottenham's Winning Streak Snapped by Late Wolves Comeback

Dele Alli's Penalty Canceled Out as Wolves Secure Third Straight Premier League Victory

Stunning Stoppage-Time Goals Sink Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur's hopes of securing a top-four finish were dealt a blow as they suffered a dramatic 2-1 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux Stadium.

Former Wolves manager Dele Alli had given Spurs the lead from the penalty spot in the first half. However, Joao Gomes' double in stoppage time saw the hosts claim all three points.

Despite winning a throw-in deep in Wolves' penalty area, Spurs conceded possession to Max Kilman, who played the ball out from the back. Wolves launched a swift counterattack that resulted in Gomes' first goal.

With Tottenham pressing for an equalizer, Wolves capitalized on their opponents' desperation and broke forward once again. Mario Lemina netted the winner in the dying seconds to secure a stunning victory for the hosts.

The result leaves Tottenham six points adrift of fourth-placed Chelsea. Meanwhile, Wolves' third successive Premier League win moves them up to eighth in the standings.

Spurs will aim to bounce back when they host Manchester United in their next league match on April 16th. Wolves, on the other hand, will travel to Brighton & Hove Albion on the same day.
